great feel, excellent tone, good durability so far

I re-strung my oud, a Turkish model, using this set so that the instrument would offer me a slightly different pitch range and a tuning system a little more similar to guitar for ease in navigating the fingerboard. I have to say that I am very pleased with the results, certainly in comparison to the La Bella sets that I experimented with in past. I am a regular player of Aquila's Alabastro classical guitar strings and the Super Nylgut formulation of these oud strings did not disappoint! Thus far, I've had no difficulty with durability and even with the typically aggressive picking style of oud playing, I haven't noticed any significant early wear. The overall tone is somewhat mellower than the La Bella strings but this isn't a great disadvantage to me. I look forward to continuing to play these strings!

Beautiful sound but terrible quality D String

I really love the sound, deep and mellow, very authentic.
The quality of the D string is terrible, the copper winding disintegrated after an hour or so of playing. This happened for both sets that I bought, I wish it was better, it would be the set set to use all the time.

The service from strings by mail is great and would buy again, probably a different set.
