From best Oud strings

The strings arrived at a good speed .. and these strings, after I have used them for years, I say they are one of the best types of strings for professional players and for recording in studios.

Great Versatile Strings

I have a floating bridge Arabic oud 60 cm scale. I wanted to tune it CFADGC. That tuning would make the tension floppy if I used a fixed bridge set. This set works great; I discarded the high ff and purchased a single bass low C. The tension is perfect and the tone is wonderful....and a great price!

Q: Hi,

I am a guitarist, and on a whim I purchased an oud. (I know nothing about them!)

I put OU80-A strings on it.

Can you please tell me if I am reading this correctly?

Is the 1st course an F above middle C?

And is the 2nd course middle C, and so on?

I'd greatly appreciate your help in this matter.

A: Hello Werner ,
Yes, the second course C is the equivalent frequency of a Middle C on a piano and the F string is above the middle C.
