Luthier Titanium Nylon MHT Classical Guitar Strings, Treble Set

I am always satisfied with the Luthier brand and these titanium strings have great tonality. . . so much so, that their sound can cut through when I perform with musicians who use steel stringed instruments. . . ha

I've owned a Ramirez 1A for many years that has served me well. But, as many of you will understand, I got restless and wanted to try a more modern design. So, I purchased a new ( to me ) guitar from on online site. It was a double top that I thought had promise. I presumed the strings that worked so well on the Ramirez would work just as good on the new instrument. It was a Michael Thames, if you've ever heard of him. I was very wrong, and very disappointed. It was bongy, buzzy and the tone sucked. What a bummer. So, 'just per chance I decided to try a set of Luthier Titanium trebles I had laying around from previous experimentations. My Savarez Cantiga basses worked great. No need to change those. When I put on the Luthiers I was blown away. What difference. Everything I wanted was there. Tone, playability, dynamic range. The sound/ tone is everything for a 'tone junky' like me. The moral here is that not all guitars are constructed the same, and a string that works on one won't necessarily work on another. You have to experiment, and that can take time, money and be frustrating. But, in the end, its worth it.
