Description

Martin Guitar's 18AHG guitar humidifier is made from the finest materials available. The water suction stem within the Martin humidifier absorbs ten times its weight in water and it slowly emits moisture through the holes.

Martin keeps the factory at a constant 45-55 percent humidity and 72-77 degrees Fahrenheit. If either humidity or temperature get far away from these factory conditions, your guitar is in danger. It is recommended to store your guitar in its case when not in use. Humidity is easier to control in a smaller space.

Protect Your Guitar

Provides much needed humidity. It may be hung from the strings into the sound hole, and also can be placed along side the neck, helping prevent frets from protruding.

The price was much lower

The price was much lower than the Dampit product which is essentially very similar. I also ordered S. I. T. flat wound strings, which are not carried by all sellers. Strings by Mail indicated that the strings were a back order, but my two humidifiers (for my two archtop guitars with F-holes) and the strings arrived together and very quickly. I will be ordering most of my guitar accessories from Strings by Mail from now on.

I like these humidifiers. They keep

Great for over-winter use or rehumidifying dry instruments

These are perfect for keeping the humidity from plummeting over the dry winter months in areas where the climate calls for it. They also work very well to re-humidify instruments that have been neglected. These are not a general maintenance humidifier- they can only add humidity, not remove it. There are other options for keeping the humidity stable. Those need to be replaced every few years, so if you are on top of things, these are a much better deal...

Q: Will it fit between the strings of a classical guitar?

A: Hello jmilews,
Yes, it should work fine with most classical guitars. Of course all guitars are spaced to their own specs so it may not fit all applications. With a couple of strings detuned there should be adequate slack to use it with most instruments.
