Titanium Nylon
Review by Enrique T. on 4 Nov 2021 review stating Titanium Nylon OK I am no expert on guitars, I experiment, I am going deaf but my wife still hears better than me, and I did work eons ago making audio circuitry so I am not totally sound inept.
I have 2 main guitars a Luthier Classical and a Japanese Classical, the Japanese sounds boxy, bright, short in sustain. The Luthier has higher volume, warm, and long sustain.
BUT - I use silver on the top and black (sometimes red) nylon on the botton
PROBLEM : SOME people say the 3d string in Clear Nylon is "dull", play them in order and you will see the difference... maybe more on my Japanese guitar... than my Luthier...
OPTIONS Carbon and Titanium
So I tried them both and I liked TITANIUM better (it has a purpulish fluorescentish color to it big contrast to my Black or Red Nylons and bet in contrast with clear also), and yes it is now brighter and higher volume, but I will admit that now my 3rd string is perhaps of higher volume than the 4rth or 2nd -wife approves of this comment-. I might try Carbon on 1st string, but the 3 stays on Titanium.
Also, I wanted to adjust the bone so I lowered the tension adjusted and re-tuned. I have known that the Black Nylon stays tuned right away, the Red Nylons stretch A LOT over a few days, well... the TITANIUM gave me the impression that stretch a lot but over 1 night. I seldon use the Clear Nylon, but I would say that my stretch comments use Clear as the default. And by warm I mean more full spectrum sound with more base, and boxy is kind of no mediums, sustain is long reverberation. Bright is more Trebble.
Not much of a review, but hope this helps, I changed Clear Nylons to Black because I wanted brighter Flamenco characteristics, so if you don't I do recomend TITANIUM lower set to enhance lower frequencies and get higher volume and sustain, I just did it on my 3rd string, and realy realy wonder if I should just do it on my 1st string to the Luthier guitar and 3rd string on the Japanese. I bet the 2nd string will be also an improvement but I like my Flamenco lower set.
On Oasis Titanium - 3rd string, Normal Tension .040
