I was hoping these would be a good alternative to Thomastiks which are 3x the price. They absolutely are. Similar tone to the BeBop line. The highs don't have as much 'zing' as your standard nickel plated string, but they don't lose clarity because the overtone complexity in the midrange and focused response. Suitable for jazz but they shouldn't be limited to that. Rock and blues players who want detail without brightness can enjoy these. I greatly prefer these to the NYXLs that came on my Collings 470. The price is ridiculously good for such a quality string.

I have tried a lot of different strings over the years. Pyramid Pure Nickel Classics are the best for tone and feel.
