SIT F1252 Flatwound Electric Guitar Strings, Medium 12-52

I had the G string totally unravel when I tried to use it with locking tuners. I guess this is a problem for flat wound strings. I am going to try another set, as I've read that you need to wind these a bit farther around the tuning peg than you do with a normal string. The folks who do this say they've eliminated the unraveling effect this way.

Both sets of strings are first-rate! Each gave me the playability and sound I wanted on both guitars. Thanks so very much for offering the incredible selection of high-quality strings.

Nice set of strings except the wound G string snapped bringing it up to tension.

Told SBM and they told me they would send me a replacement flatwound G string.

They sent me another string but it was just another round wound string, not a flatwound, oh well....

These flat-wound strings improved the tone of my archtop a great deal. I would definitely buy SIT strings again, and I would also use Strings by Mail again, both were above my expectations. I like to support smaller businesses, and these strings hit the nail on the head.

These flatwound strings are very smooth to the touch and seem resistant to corrosion. They sound clear on clean settings and do not produce a dull thud like some flatwounds.
