These work great for clawhammer banjo. They cover the nail and give a nice warm sound. Because you're pressing the acrylic nail against the real nail when you play, there is almost no chance of it coming off in use. (The only time it's happened to me is when there's a gap at the end where it meets the cuticle where the string can snag it. Then you can use a snippet of the Nexcare Flexible Tape to cover the gap.)

They also can be reused 6-7 times with the same glue dot. Just carefully peel it off the nail. I find they last about two weeks of daily playing before they wear down enough to need replacing. Best of all, the glue dots don't damage your real nail.

These artificial nails have greatly enhanced my pleasure playing the guitar. My natural nails have a concave shape more suited for fishhooks than guitar playing and hitting a chlorinated swimming pool three times a week also did nothing for the natural nails. Now, if I break or split a nail I replace it. They average as much as two or three weeks before peeling off and are replaceable in 15 minutes. The sound they produce much better than I was ever able to produce before
