Augustine Gold - 4th string (D) .0315

A solid 4th string in medium hard tension that works well on my long scale Mariachi/Flamenco guitar.

I haven’t had the opportunity to use one of the D strings. However, that seems to be the most frequent string that breaks early. If I change my strings more often than I have been changing them, I may not need these extra strings. Thank you.

I bought this single string as an experiment. I had tried several fluorocarbon string brands for my Kala Ziricote Baritone Ukulele. In every set, the D strings sounded muddy and dull. As an experiment, I decided to try this single Gold Augustine Classical D String. I matched this string with a set of Uke Logic Clear Soft Tension Fluorobcarbon strings: G, B and E. Wow, what a surprise! Warm, yet crisp tone . . . tons of sustain. And, matching the volume of the 3 strings. Plus, no buzz whatsoever. Very pleased, highly recommend.
