Warm Basses

If your guitar sounds overly bright in the bass strings, these Augustine Golds will immediately reduce the brightness. These are less bright than D’Addario Pro Arte. I rate them a 4 instead of 5 because for my purposes they kind of overshoot the warmth thing!

Q: The Augustine website lists these as brass coated and rather bright, not gold coated. I didn’t mind the brightness but others might. Also, I looked at them for another player that is having an allergic reaction to regular strings and needed gold coated ones. Please update the information if needed. Thanks.
