D'Addario 19UKE00 Eco-Comfort Ukulele Strap, Black

With the exception of this product, all of the products in this category have a single clip that wraps around the ukulele and affixes to the bottom of the sound hole. This is a ridiculous design, as it makes the instrument tumble to the floor as soon as the user stops holding it. The Strings By Mail design has TWO clips, one for the top of the soundhole and one for the bottom; with the attached neckstrap; these hold the ukulele securely, leaving the player's hands free to actually play the instrument rather than support it. Brilliant design!

Unfortunately, the stiff leather of the straps had trouble curling around the edges of my ukulele, so the straps protruded from the front of the instrument and got in the way of strumming. Other ukuleles, with different dimensions, would probably not have this problem.

The fix was to purchase a second strap, then cut and cannabalize and re-attach the thinner cords; these curved around the ukulele edges very easily and kept out of the way during playing. Not an ideal fix (double the cost), but the resulting modified straps provide very secure support so that I can walk around practicing and playing my ukulele without worrying about dropping it.

Having recently purchasing a Romero Creations Tiny Tenor ukulele and used to having uke strap on my other ukulele, I did not want to take a chance on having a strap peg installed on it.
It seemed to me that the Romero ukulele would not withstand having a hole drilled into it since it is a very light and delicate instrument. The D'Addario strap works out well.
