Ernie Ball 2568 Aluminum Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings Light 11-52

Really nice folks here who truly care about customer service! I'm a thumb pick wielding finger picker and to me everything about these strings is great, except the sound. To my ear they have thin (brittle) hi end, understated middle with weak low end. So... they lack punch when you lay the thumb in pretty good. But, that's my opinion the price is right so try them for your ear. They might make an interesting sound on a guitar with magnetic pickups.

I've tried different strings with their recommendation to try these strings my Epiphone sings crisp and clear the resonation just keeps on going.

Don Alder was talking about these strings at the Harp Guitar Gathering in Texas some years ago and I tried them out when I got home. They live up to the hype. There is a pronounced top end that's bright but not overly so. The mids are present but not overemphasized; I don't even want to call it a scoop.The lows are tight and not mushy. They are perfect for any style of playing but are particularly suited to fingerstyle. I use them mostly on a PRS Angelus but have played them on friend's and student's guitars of every quality and they always sound good.

I have used these strings for years on my OM-size guitars. Small guitars can be "tinny" sounding and these strings help. They are also good for "budget" guitars.. Give them a try. I think you'll be pleased!
