John Pearse 550SL Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Slightly Lt 11-50

I have a handmade Morrison accoustic designed after James Taylor's O guitar. found that this set was Taylor's pick. not only is the sound better overall, but harmonics good on all 6 strings. I had tried D'Addario Phosphor Bronze most recently, which were smoother, though.

Great sounding strings. The 550SL is “slightly lighter” than I normally use but I really like the feel of these strings. This is my first set but it won’t be my last.

Ever since the guy at the Berkeley Starving musician recommended them to me in 2016. "They sound good even right after stringing the guitar. " I noticed it right away. While other strings sound crazy twangy and overly resonant after string a guitar, John Pearse strings just sound great from the moment you string them and then as they stretch out over the following couple weeks of play, they sound even better!!

As I've spent now almost 20 yrs with my Concert Jumbo Rosewood guitar, I feel that are the best strings I've found for brightness, sustain, and clarity. The Slightly Light don't strain my fingers without compromising the attributes above. I mostly finger pick but a nice strum is amazing as the sustain and wonderful overtones ring out. These are nice strings is you want to try something beyond the recommended Elixirs. Fyi. . . these are the only strings I would recommend after years of trying every string brand.
