Gitano Replacement Suction Cup

I feel like this should come standard with the gitano, but it works well.

Matches the other 3 that ship with the Gitano. Adding a 4th in the empty slot requires removing the plastic pad that would otherwise interfere. I don't think it's necessary and might even cause the hinge to make more creaking noises due to the increased rigidity of the mounting.

The Gitano support comes with three suction cups. There is an extra slot for a fourth suction cup. Three cups seem to work but just to make sure the support doesn't detach accidentally and maybe I'm being excessive, I wanted the fourth suction cup. These suction cups are exactly replacements. They fit the slot perfectly and they have the little tab to aid intended detachments. I had to remove a rubber spacer from the Gitano support to fit the fourth suction cup. I also bought two extra cups in case a cup failed to maintain suction. I keep the extra cups in my case. My advice is to purchase the extra cups when you purchase the Gitano support and save on shipping!

I had hoped that these, along with some of the film protector material, would solve my problem of the support coming off. Alas, although it doesn't come off as readily as before, it still happens, so this is good information! I think it is a combination of the smaller size of my Jellinghaus Torres replica guitar and the location where the Gitano sits on the body of my instrument (on the lower bout). I think I need to have a different design that attaches both on the edge of the lower AND the upper bout. So that will be my next experiment. Thanks SBM folks for the quick service!
