The Boring Best

After trying many strings over the years, I found these trebles to be the ones that have it about right for my cedar Ramirez 1a. This guitar is a tad bright, so I look for a little string to darken the tone. J45's sound plasticy to me, but the intonation of D'Adarrio's is the best I have tried. So, what you get with these rectified nylons is a warmer version of the J45, and an opaque string with a smooth, creamy feel under the fingers. Intonation is even better than J45s. So, while there may be sweeter-sounding, warmer strings, these are the all-around winners for my old Ramirez. And I've tried many.

Smooth tone, excellent intonation.

I use these trebles on a 664 scale Ramirez 1a. Intonation is excellent. Tone is smoother and warmer than the standard D’Addario nylon J45. The string has a nice feel under your fingers - smooth, not slippery.
