Luthier Tenor Low G Ukulele Strings Clear Super Carbon 101

I have an older Kala archtop tenor that I never really played very often. Replaced the stock Aquila strings with these and finally fell in love. So warm and clear whether strumming or playing single notes. My archtop finally has the jazz tone it was built to have.

I've been on the hunt for a few years to find a suitable replacement for the southcoast uke's light medium tension low g setup. They went out of business a few years back, and NOTHING has compared. They've a lighter tension, and ring like a bell! I'm finally excited to pick up my instrument again. My kid (who also plays) could instantly hear the difference, as could my band mates.

I'm certainly no expert in this stuff, but I've never really been able to tell a huge difference between different brands of strings until this brand. I was really surprised by how much clearer everything sounded. After hearing the first set I came back and bought more to put them on all of my ukuleles.

Good sound, I just can't get used to a non-wound low G. I was hopeful

Being fairly new to the ukulele, I can’t really give a thoughtful evaluation of the fluorocarbon strings, especially comparing them to others. They do seem to be taking a long time to break in. I tune often during practice. The tone seems good, but I hear a buzz on the C string at the third fret that I did not hear before restringing. However, the new strings aren’t much more expensive than other types, so I will continue, hoping that they will improve as I improve.
