Tone is everything

I am an older Ukulele player looking for a warmer tone than the Worth fluorocarbon strings I had been using. I noticed that a lot of the players I admired used nylon. These D’Addarios produce a great tone which seem much warmer to me. They are a little thicker than the Worth strings. The Worths are easier for me to do barre chords but I am happy do work harder to get the tone.

I found them to be

I found them to be too stiff for me. That is, not easily bendable and more difficult to depress than I prefer.
I will go back to the Aquila New Nylgut.

Crystal Clear Tone

I play a low G, and these match well with the unwound clear Uke Logic Low G. However, this was an experiment to try out an unwound low G. I guess I will be sticking with Kamaka black nylon strings matched with the smooth wound Fremont Soloist Low G on my Kamaka Tenor. Black nylon for me is the tone I like.

Just Right

I was looking for strings with a more mellow tone for my Ohana spruce-top super tenor tuned LowGCEA. These turned out to be what I was looking for. Quality of the product is good.

Not the right strings for me

I got these strings based on a review by someone who liked them, but they did not produce the sound quality I was hoping for. At times the sound was harsh and loud.
