Followup to my review 7/31/18
Review by Kaj H. on 27 Sep 2018 review stating Followup to my review 7/31/18 It took a few weeks outside for the Nail Buffer to off-gas sufficiently for me to want to hold it, let alone use it. Now that I have used it. Here are my thoughts:
There are four different "grits" on the buffer. The three coarser ones feel at the same time rough and peculiarly ineffective. The Strings by Mail glass nail file is MUCH better at shaping fast and effectively, and has a nice feel such that I I am not worried it is going to make tiny unwanted scratches on my nail. After using the glass file, touching up with some 400 to 600 grit sand paper does a much more satisfactory job than this Buffer. The finest grit on the Buffer is sort of like polishing and is innocuous, though not very effective, and if you use the glass file and sandpaper you don't need that.
