PhD Baritone High G Premium High Density Ukulele Strings

I am pretty happy so far. Husbands big hands needed a baritone sized neck and frets but he prefers to play it tuned like a tenor. I’ve tried several brands over the past 4 years and so far these seem to be the best.

These strings solved all of my ukulele set up concerns! I was needing a little more tension to prevent some buzzing (I use pretty low action), and I was not happy with the intonation problem that is caused by a thicker "C" (3rd) string going sharp when playing up the neck. These PhD strings emmidiately solved both issues! There is more tension (less buzzing now), and the thinner 3rd string solved the intonation issue I was having! Perfect! Just as a note: I'm using these on my Kala baritone, but rather than tuning up to the tenor high G tuning (gCEA), I put it a step lower (fBbDG). I like it there sound-wise, plus, I like the key options. You can always capo up, but you can't capo down :) Highly recommended strings! I won't use anything else!

Big fan of PhD strings

New to the baritone ukulele, so I wanted to stay with GCEA tuning. Ordered EBGD by a rookie mistake. Called Strings by mail, and they were very helpful getting me the right strings. Put the PhD Baritone High G Premium GCEA on the Baritone, and it is now my favorite ukulele to play. Thanks guys, you are my new go to string supplier. David
