D'Addario EJ87B strings are designed specifically for baritone ukuleles. The 3rd and 4th string are a silver-plated copper wound on nylon complimented by a 1st and 2nd string which are made from our bright sounding titanium material. This set is optimized for usage with standard DGBE tuning.

I might want a string

Never Disappoints!

two weeks and still stretching. I will keep them on till the wound stings get degraded by the frets. Over a year or so. the real test is months away yet

Q: Do these strings work with “nui” size baritone with 23” scale length without having tension issues ?

A: As you may know most baritones have a scale length of 19-20". at your 23" scale length may cause much higher tension than desired. we can put a custom set together for you just email us at [email protected]

Q: i recently ordered a set of D'Addario EJ87B uke strings thru ebay. the 4th (black) string just popped near the nut. is there a shelf life issue with old sets of strings? thx larry

A: We try and rotate our stock every 30 days. We recommend if you are storing strings for over 6 months to keep them in a ziploc bag with a couple of silica gel packs. If it has been over a year there is always a chance the strings could have gone bad or break prematurely. You just do not know.
