Worth Ukulele Strings Clear Fluoro-Carbon C-LGEX 63 in., Low-G single

I replaced a Worth Brown with this string only because the Brown G is smaller in diameter and felt too soft on my thumb. This string is Worth’s largest diameter and feels much sturdier with a strong tone.

I have had good luck with Worth strings on my tenor uke, so I bought the clear baritone set for the 20" scale baritone I just built. The two lowest strings (D and G) seemed much looser than the B and E strings, which made it harder to play. I ordered this .0433 single string for the D, and used the original .0358 4th string for the G. It made for a much better set - sounds and plays more evenly, with more consistent tension between the strings. I would recommend that Worth offer this combination as a baritone set (.0433, .0358, .0291, .0244). I like that it works so well without needing wound strings.
