Hannabach Silver 200 Set 900 MLT Classical Guitar Strings, Full Set

Love the thick sound of the trebles. Has lots of articulation possibilities when voicing a melody.

The bases run seamlessly well with the trebbles. Though, they do squeak more, so a little technique adjustment might be required but it’s well worth your time.

Overall: Sonorous. I pulled out a surprising growl a couple of times.

I've found at this stage in my guitar-playing life the Silver 200 900 MHT which I used to play are too stiff for me. This set is a good alternative: nice, bright basses and the trebles have a warm sound. I also tried the Hannabach silver Special 815MT but this set is definitely superior (richer trebles, cleaner-sounding basses.)

Several weeks back I put a set of 900MLT strings on my guitar. While practicing Bach's Prelude BWV 999, I heard a significant clash of sound waves in the octave E notes at the end of measure 21 (E on the fifth string at the seventh fret, E on the third string at the ninth fret). Using my tuner, I checked - and all the open stings were spot on (!) Raising the pitch of the G string to eliminate the clashing E octave notes resulted in problems at other places on the fingerboard. Because my guitar has the nut and saddle shaped to compensate for the "built-in" problems of guitar intonation I was fairly certain that this was string related. I replaced the Hannabachs with D'Addario EJ45s yesterday, and the clashing Es disappeared. Once again, tuning became a breeze. And I was surprised to find that the EJ45s give a much wider palette of sound when playing from over sound hole back towards the bridge.

At a cost only 40% of what the 900MLTs command, I'll stick with the EJ45s!
