Optima 270.NMT Silver Classics Clear Nylon Medium Tension

I was really wanting to love these strings as I have heard such great recommendations about them. However, on my spruce double top they sounded very dull. The trebles were overly round and dark, which surprised me since my guitar leans bright. The overtones of the high frequencies were very muted. The basses were a nice and fat and the strings were very easy on the left hand. I did find the trebles were more slippery than most nylon strings as well. I replaced them after trying them for a week. Overall they just weren't for me.

I purchased a few sets of these strings. I can attest that the purchasing process and delivery went smoothly, five stars there. Queries I made to strings by mail were promptly answered. When it comes to the strings, I don't really have enough experience with comparable strings to share any useful perspective. They did seem to take awhile to stretch enough to hold their pitch, maybe like five days until they weren't significantly flat when I began practicing on a given day; the trebles also seemed to only last me a couple weeks of playing 3-4 hours a day before the sound was noticeably less pleasant than they were new, but again I'm not certain whether that is par for the course or not. When new and tuned they do sound great on my guitar, though.
