Love these bass strings. Beautiful full sound.

They are fine

I play flamenco and love the sound of the A and D string combo. I mix the other strings with other brands. So base set is perfect For me since I switch them often. Playing everyday for several hours made the strings last approximately two weeks, I unwound the rest and and lowered the strings to have a bit more new string. This will give it a couple more days of life. Great price for the amount of use. Top: spruce, Side/B: cypress

As I mentioned in my review of the complete Alabastro 19C set, I change my basses about twice as often as I change my trebles simply because these basses wear out fairly quickly with frequent playing. Having the basses-only set available is a great convenience for this string-change scheduling. I'd also recommend the "Light Tension" model of these strings, model 97C for the full set or model 98C for the basses-only set. I've found nothing better for sound and performance!

I have just paired these with Augustine Regle trebles and really like the sound and feel. Very low squeak, they tune up easily, and stay in tune. I have no idea how long they will last, but so far, I like them Very much.
