Savarez Cristal 573R - 3rd string (g), normal tension .040

The G string is always the hardest to keep tuned 'just' right. The luthier that made and cares for my classical guitar recommends using the above string, replacing it from the D'Addario set I use for the rest of my guitar. I can actually tell the difference

I own a Córdoba guitar that came with these strings and loved the tone they produced. I tried a high end brand that were given to me and really disliked the change they made in the tone of my guitar. I have returned to the Savarez strings and am in love with the sound of my guitar again. Being able to order from Strings by Mail has made it sleazy to keep extras available for periodic changes and small disasters.

This is my 50th year as a professional musician, and thank you for providing a much needed service, as it is nearly impossible to find a local music store that offers the variety of brands and will sell single strings to make a custom set.
