Herb Ohta, Jr. tenor string set
Review by Mark L. on 27 Jun 2024 review stating Herb Ohta, Jr. tenor string set After trying numerous different sets of strings on my long-scale (19-inch) custom Vento tenor, which I prefer to play in B-flat major (F, B-flat, D, G), I have found that the Herb Ohta, Jr. set by Worth, combined with the Low G Wound string from La Bella that is marketed under its Pepe Romero line, is the best at reducing, if not entirely eliminating, the annoying buzzing sound that I experience over the first 4 or 5 frets. In addition, I am pleased with their clarity, balance, and playability. I only wish that the Ohta, Jr. set offered the option of a wound low G, instead of the included unwound low G.
