D'Addario EJ51 Pro Arte HT Classical Guitar Strings PCH-3B, Bass Set

I have been using these "Recording" nylon string set on my Cordoba Fusion since they first came out. The bass strings are "polished" down so they are semi-flat. It really helps eliminate the finger squeal.

I was surprised when I received just the bass strings. After inquiring the head of Strings By Mail contacted to tell me D'Addario was no longer making the sets, only the bass strings as a set. After my initial disappointment in that decision I simply ordered a set of the plain nylons as a treble set and now the world is the way it should be.

Great strings! Use this combination of Hannabach trebles with polished hard tension D'addario for many years. It's expensive nowadays, but worth it!

Great product, but even greater customer service.

Have played for 60 yrs from Savarez in the 60's to Aranjuez through last year. Aranjuez were the best sounding I ever played on my vintage Ramirez but they only lasted about six weeks weeks. They're gone now so I asked a professional friend who suggested D'Addario. I had never heard of polished basses so I tried one set. I put them on in February and they still haven't broken near the end of June. Believe every word of the sales hype about smoothness and quietness. Sound? Nearly (99%) as good. For guitar strings they are expensive ($22.00) but, I'll never change till I have to.

I have playing these strings since they first came out. They sound great with solid bass notes and trebles that just ring. They will "wake up" your classical guitar and pleasantly surprise you. Beware they are a very high tension set of strings, so be sure to check with your guitar maker to see if you can use them safely on your instrument.
