Hense Carbon Series 558CMHT Classical Guitar Strings, Treble Set

Good treble strings !

I have been experimenting with carbon strings for many years. These by Hense are indeed one of the best, or perhaps the best. Initially (about 8 years ago) they use to peal and most recently (last two years) they seem to have more "body" and will handle tuning and stretching more regularly. Also, the tone in these strings have a presence and does not sound thin as previously it did. I continue to mix the trebles with the polished cantiga by Hannabach. Great sound and weight.

I took the liberty of buying several carbon tops and comparing them. Hannahbach, Gallei, D'addario, Hense, Savarez, and a few others. Out of all of them Hense stood out in terms of volume, tuning stability and durability. I had my tops on for 6 months and simply changed the basses. They maintained a warmth and punch really well. I only changed them as I had to record and they were starting to get scratchy. Though they're priced more than other treble tops they're worth the money. I highly recommend them.
