With a little less 1st string brightness and a bit more warmth, Oasis introduces a new set of GPX™ classical guitar strings called the Claro™. They replaced their current 1st string with a new Claro™ 1st string which is warm, rich and powerful. While the sonic blend is now sweetened, the new treble set remains nicely balanced, retaining the GPX™ carbon 2nd and 3rd.

Well balance treble set - great tone

The carbon 2nd and 3rd strings are great - loud and bright. The nylon 1st is a game changer - I will probably try and maintain that setup now. With carbon 1st it can have a brittle sound but the nylon sings.

Great set for clarity and sustain

As a life long steel string player when I needed to move to playing some nylon string guitar I was less than satisfied with the tone from traditional nylon trebles. After a good bit of experimenting with other choices I found hard tension carbons most satisfying among the trebles on my Cordoba Orchestra cross over. These Oasis strings provide clarity, sustain, good intonation and long life at a modest price. Haven’t needed to look beyond these since I found them.

Oasis Claro trebles are a go to set.

Some carbon sets are too bright on some guitars, especially the 1st string. This set solves that. These are warmer than many carbon trebles, and the nylon 1st string tempers the sometimes shrill sound of pure carbon. Reliable intonation and good feel, too. At $7/set, a fair price.
