Aquila Perla Superior Tension Classical Guitar Strings 38C, Full Set

Similar to my experience with the NT set a while back, these just don't work with my guitar, Great company, though!

I love carbons like Savarez 510 MRJ and JG Dynamic Carbon but I can't always afford those expensive sets. I have tried different cheaper non-carbon sets and since I prefer HT I was impressed with the Aquila Perla. They are smooth where the carbons are more sharp. They may not last as long as the more expensive sets but I really love the sensitive sound from my Taurus 35 Spanish cedar top. I prefer HT but really the MT Perla also was a joy to play. They keep good tune and I think they are a great value.

I have a lattice braced instrument that I use Savarez New Cristal alliance trebles on. First & second nylon, and third carbon. This is naturally a bright guitar, and the first string in particular can be extremely bright. It took a lot of effort to produce sweet sounds on that first string. I purchased the Perla superior tension JUST to try the first string with my Savarez. That Perla first string is so warm that its timbre is almost identical to the Savarez second string. The guitar now sounds perfectly balanced and sweet. Now, I don't finger pieces to stay on the second string. First string, seconds string sound the same!!! Of course, I wish they sold individual strings, but the price is right.
