Q: will these work on a gold tone 25" scale micro bass?

A: Hello Bill,
The package indicates these are designed for a 20 or 21 inch scale length so they will not work.

Q: OK...then which strings don't have the knot and the washer then? I just need ste strings...no knot, no washer

A: Aquila bass uke strings can be easily converted by simply undoing the knot and removing the washer. GoldTone is the same way. Q: Hello. I just bought a Donner DUB-1 U-BASS and I was going to pick up some spare strings for it. Thundergut vs. Thunderblack... What is the difference and are the Thundergut strings White??? Also which ones are better? 3 questions...😁😁😁👍

Yes, the Thundergut set does have white strings. Both sets are made of a similar material although the consensus is that the black strings tend to be slightly brighter and a bit louder. Both sets are popular and get good reviews so which one is better is going to vary based upon many factors. Perhaps try both!

These strings are round but they are not wound. They are made of Aquila's special elastic rubber material so all the strings are smooth unwound strings.
