Nice Strings

I like the sound and feel of these strings. They’re a little thinner than D’addario pro Arte which I was using. Brighter sound and the G is definitely better and brighter. Rich tone from the base strings. They have a little trouble staying in tune but that’s minor. I’ll buy them again.

Currently My Fave

I used the Augustine Imperial Blue for the longest time since the mid-80s. Reluctantly switched over to D'Addario EJ45 for intonation stability about five years ago but encountered three bad sets in a row where the high E snapped after just a couple of days. So far the Hannabach 500MT just feels great and sounds absolutely beautiful!!

Great sounding strings!

I bought these because they were cheap and I’d never tried Hannabach strings. The first set must have been a bad batch, as two strings broke, so I had to raid my second set. Strings By Mail sent me two replacement sets and so far, they have sounded great! My teacher immediately asked if I had changed strings or altered my nails because my tone was noticeably better, and he suggested I do some recording with them soon. They are long lasting as well - I had the first set on for three and a half months before replacing them with another set of the same strings.
