Oasis Fluorocarbon Uke Conc/Sop/Ten Bright Low G, Double Set

Low g string set for ukulele is a good value. The A string can easily be snapped while tensioning during installation if not careful.

I tried the 8000, 8001, and 8000F sets, as appropriate, on several sop/con/ten scale ukuleles I had nearly given up on. The trebles are the same in all these sets. Only the 4th strings are different.

They all responded favorably and are now back in regular play. Bravo, Oasis!

These were on a Fluke Solid Koa top concert. The wound low G was a wreck after 3 months and the wound part was cut at most of the frets. The other strings started sounding dead after 3 months. Not bad strings but I replaced them with Worth clear and unwound low G. To me it it is much clearer and I like the feel of the strings better. I like the sound of the wound low G but the durability of wound low Gs have made me stick with unwound. I do play 2-4 hours most days so I'm hard in strings but these seemed a little less durable than some others.

I just received a Koa top concert Magic Fluke - Fluke with Nylogut type strings which I am not a fan of. I switched them out immediately with the Oasis and it totally changed the Fluke from a very flat, generic sounding ukulele to a lively, full sounding high end ukulele. Within a couple hours of hard playing they had already started to settle into tune. Only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is a minor issue with the low G which is would. The center part of the string kept pulling out as I pulled the knot tight. Not a big deal but something to be aware of and I have had other wound strings that did not do this so easily. The low G is very well balanced with the other strings. Highly recommend these strings.
