Philippe Bosset Titanium Classical, Normal Tension TITANETN

The titanium trebles are bright but the sound is on the thin side. The comparison may be a bit unfair but, in relation to the Knobloch Actives carbon treble set they are a distant second.

I purchased these along with another set and haven’t had the chance to try them yet. So I can’t give these a proper review yet, I’m still playing the first set I purchased and these are next up in the que.

These are superb strings in line with just about everything from Philippe Bosset. They are not inexpensive but to get their equal you'd have to pay twice as much for strings from that other super famous European string maker. I like the clear treble and overtones, and the solidity of the bass without being excessive or lacking crispness. They feel nice to play, especially the upper strings, and the 3rd (g), usually the bane of any string set, is what it should be.

(For the record I use these on a Cervantes Hauser PE to play primarily Renaissance, Baroque, Classical and Romance repertoire with a fairly light touch. Your mileage may vary depending on your playing style, genre, and instrument.)
