on a childs guitar

I put these on a first act discovery guitar about the size of a ubass and they all fit the holes as the lower strings are tapered. The low E is still stiff enough. Use left over string to careful back and forth reduce the nut slot down to fit. If you go down too much it may buzz on the fret but can be taken care of with adding some paper to fill. Having make shift 6 string E-e ubass makes a whole new instrument. You can bend notes and apply vibrato. Chords on the higher 4 strings sound nice and vibrant. Those 2 extra higher strings makes it a complete instrument playing bass lines with chords and adding percussion.

Pretty good strings

It was a bit of work getting the strings to fit, but they eventually got through. The key is to take it slowly. They probably will not fit your nut without modification, but I have found that they stay in place regardless. This is a great set if you want to explore the low end without buying a new guitar.

Fifth string

Just wanted to let all know that the 5th string does not fit through the hole as it is not tapered like the 6th. I had to drill the hole bigger to make it fit.
