Having tried Tomatitos, I set out for flamenco strings as opposed to classical. The trebles were very nice and bright and basses flamenco but bright. I could feel a difference from Tomatitos, not nearly as heavy but sensational. I could tell that maybe someone that likes the heavy feeling might sense a negative but I like them for both classical and flamenco and will continue to buy.
Noteworthy, I know high level professional Flamenco players and PHD+ classical players who immediately upon seeing my new strings bought them for them selves and whom wanted to main these strings. The flamenco player normally doesnt use flamenco strings because of the distaste for Tomatitos and found these to be the only flamencos they ever tried to up to snuf, the classical player just loved them in general

Hannabach Flamenco Medium Tension were the strings recommended by the person from whom I purchased my Pedro de Miguel guitar some 15 years ago. To date, I have not found better strings.
Be aware: These would be considered a high to very high tension string in other brands for classical guitars. But I've tried other strings with comparable tension and learned that they simply cannot handle the hard use. My guitar is made for accompanying dancers, not for solo work, so high tension is perfect. It is loud, but you still have to use significant effort on the strums (rasgeos and abanicos) to be heard above the beautiful thunder of skilled flamenco dancers giving their all. And my Pedro de Miguel is set up for this tension.
Other strings pop very soon, or have trouble holding the pitch, or sound harsh or metallic. The Hannabach Flamenco MT strings are bold and still sound beautiful, and, yes, they produce beautiful solo notes when you want them.

My favorite Flamenco strings are the Tomatito T50R normal tension for my Vincente Carrillo Flamenca Blanca (2002)
The Hannabach 827 MT have extremely thick trebles, sound incredibly dull, have absolutely no projection or sustain. The bass strings are pretty unremarkable. I expected more from Hannabach, expensive strings with disappointing results. 1 star in this player's experience is 1 star too many.
