Review by Jack on 15 Feb 2022 review stating trebles thick but relatively soft, glassy - nice but not bright. Basses sound good but firm, squeaky My luthier put these on after some repairs. The treble strings are very thick, glassy, and smooth, looking and sounding clearer than D'Addario; bell-like in some sense, without the common "tubby G" issue, but not particularly bright or penetrating like labella 2001 or a carbon string. They are fairly easy to finger and feel more like Normal tension to me. The wound strings also sound quite good on this guitar but feel much stiffer and are very noisy/scratchy. My modern instrument probably needs a brighter treble string to match its powerful bass response, but this set is certainly good quality-for-price. Recommendable as far as you tolerate firm and squeaky basses.
